The courtyard in the center inculcates and retains a sense of social community among the children harboring a ‘home away from home’ vibe. The courtyard in the center also allows single loaded passageways, thus using maximum floor plate for habitable spaces. Concluding on the planning aspect of the structure, the habitable spaces are designed geometrically perpendicular to one another but the common spaces between them are of asymmetric pattern due to the radial geometry of the courtyard. The planning was made sure to be adaptable for future contraction or expansion of spaces thus not affecting the environmental impact and the cost of renovation.
